Philanthropy

How Does Philanthropy Fit Into Your Current Financial Plan? Into your Life?

Every individual, and family, is different. It is a passion of Diane's to help her clients incorporate their philanthropic passions into their financial plan. It doesn't simply have to be something that they do "if there's anything left", or "after they're gone". However, finding the balance between being financially responsible, pursuing all of life's goals, and still being consistently active (at whatever level desired) in philanthropic efforts can prove challenging. Diane brings to the table strategies that help her clients incorporate philanthropic efforts into their lives from a financial point of view.

"Personally, I am involved on a multitude of levels with a significant amount of organizations. While there are a few organizations I strive to be more involved with (as mentioned below), all the kids in the neighborhood, and all our friends, know they can count on "The Zing's". We give of our Time, Talent and Treasure. My goal is to help my clients reach that level of satisfaction with their efforts, too, whatever that level of involvement may be.

Life isn't just about money. Life is about not having to worry about money......it's about being fulfilled, and about our families, friends and loved ones. So whatever your passions are, please embrace them! Let's put a plan together that will help you focus on what's important to you. After all, we are on this earth to work to live, NOT live to work!!!!"

- Diane Zing

Below are a few organizations Diane believes very strongly in. She and her family give of their time, talent and treasure in their continued efforts to provide sustainable support:

The Rotary Club is an organization I am involved with. I have been a member of the Centennial Rotary Club since 2008. www.bestrotary.com. And have served on the board of directors in various roles. I personally look forward to everything we can accomplish to help our immediate community, and the global community.

What would it take to change the world? Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self. Please check out the rotary clubs in your area. See if "SERVICE ABOVE SELF" is something that interests you. www.rotary.org.

The Listen Foundation provides for, and assists, children who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families, with access to a proven speech, language, and listening therapy method to help them achieve a life of independence.

The listen foundation was incorporated in 1969 when a group of parents came together because they shared the common experience of raising a child with a hearing impairment. These parents recognized that many other parents and professionals were unaware of technological and therapeutic options that enable children with a hearing loss to listen, speak and become part of mainstream society and that many families that might want to pursue these options did not have the financial means to pay for these services. The initial program was developed by the late Doreen Pollack, an internationally recognized author and expert in the field of Auditory-Verbal therapy - an innovative approach that helps children to use their residual hearing and speaking potential to communicate with spoken language rather than sign language. Since then, the listen foundation has built up a network of the finest therapists in the state to continue the work that Ms Pollack pioneered.

Last year, 100 families were provided services through the listen foundation. Learn more about Listen Foundation at www.listenfoundation.org

The Women's Foundation of Colorado is an amazing group of people who come together to improve the lives of a multitude of people in many ways. I look forward to many years of involvement with this organization.

At The Women’s Foundation of Colorado, their goal is that every woman in Colorado is economically self-sufficient, and every girl in Colorado is on the path to economic self-sufficiency. Their mission to get there, is to build resources and lead change so that the women and girls of Colorado are full and equal participants in society. Please feel free to check out The Women's Foundation of Colorado at their website. www.wfco.org. Also, note that there are other organizations nationwide that mirror the efforts of The Women's Foundation of Colorado. Look for local organizations in your area that are equally supportive.
